It's a new day and Rachel is HAPPY!

We woke up in a good mood this morning! When I say we, I mean Rachel!!!! :) We went shopping and got her some new hairbows!


This is one of the outfits that Mama-Nette got Rachel and it is TOO CUTE on her. We love purple! Well, Rachel has started this new thing she likes to do called throwing a fit!!! It is pitiful. When I am feeding her if I take the bottle out of her mouth to burp her or when the bottle is empty, she just goes nuts! She screams like I am torturing her and stiffens up so I can't do anything with her. Talk about trying someone's patience!!! The child acts like I am never going to feed her again and Lord knows she isn't starving! This too, shall pass, let's pray.

Tomorrow is Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. This day always falls on the Sunday closest to the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. Today, January 22nd, marks the date that abortion was legalized in the United States. It is the 38th anniversary. Over the past several days I have read a few articles that center around abortion, choosing life, and what people are doing about both. I have read about a doctor who performs abortions illegally and keeps the contents stored in jars. Human body parts in jars. I have read about a couple that did IVF and then got pregnant with twin boys. Since they wanted a girl, they decided to terminate their pregnancy of these baby boys in hopes to get pregnant with a little girl. This couple had suffered the loss of a baby girl shortly before getting pregnant with the twins. They were quoted saying that they "deserved a little luck" and this was their "right." Never Again

As young children and youth, many of us, even if we did not grow up in church, we heard and read about the story of Noah in the Bible.  You know, the ark, lots of rain, animals 2x2 and rainbows.  It's familiar to most people.  I have been studying the book of Genesis for awhile and there is so much more to the story than that.  Such powerful truths. It is sometimes hard to understand in our humanness why God would destroy the earth and everyone in it.  He stated in Genesis that He was sorry that He had created man.  There is a lot of speculation with this verse but I do not believe it is because He thought He had made a mistake.  God does not make mistakes.  I believe that He was merely trying to make a statement.  He was disappointed and that is putting it lightly.  The people were wicked and ungodly.  The bottom line concerning the flood and God's wrath is this:  no one died in an unjust manner.   So, after the flood, the waters receded and Noah and his family, along
