Good Check-up

We had our 4-month checkup today and everything is great! We actually went to the doctor yesterday too with fever and diarrhea. Rachel's little friend, Chelsea has been in the hospital since Sunday with Rotavirus so we just wanted to make sure that Rachel was in the clear. Yesterday they did a flu test and urinalysis to check for any infections. No flu and the urine cultures should be back tomorrow. She weighed 17 lbs 4 oz! She's my big girl! She was of the charts in her weight. She was in the 97th percentile for length - 25 1/2 inches long and 75th percentile for head circumference. She has a little head, I guess! Anyway, the doctor said that she is still very proportionate in her height and length and is meeting all of her developmental milestones on time and early. She gave us the "go ahead" for baby food!!! We started today with sweet potatoes and she seemed to like them. I also am trying out a new formula - Enfamil Gentlease. It has been recommended for her spitting up. She has been somewhat better, but this may also help us not have to give her Mylicon several times a day...it is supposed to help reduce gas. She was VERY upset when she got her 4 shots today. She didn't recover well from that at all. She screamed all the way out of the doctor's office, out the hospital building and about 10 minutes in the car. She then fell asleep after I gave her some Tylenol and slept for about 2 1/2 hours...while Mommy did some shopping at Target!

All is well and we are still loving life! My baby is getting too big too fast though!! The weather is starting to get pretty outside and Rachel loves being outside....time for some walks!! Here are some pictures from today, including her poor little legs where she got her shots!

OUCH!!!!!!!
