MRI Results

Bet you thought you would get the results to my MRI from this post, huh?? Well, WRONG!!!

The doctor's office called earlier and they want to see me on Monday. At first I thought that it must not be too serious if they haven't called yet. Well, I have only seen this doctor one time. I don't know much about how they operate. I do know that it took me calling 4 times before they would call me back about changing a prescription that I had from a suspension to a pill. So...track record on calling back - not so good. Now, my thought is that if the MRI was normal they would just tell me that on the phone. I had blood work the day I saw the doctor, they called me and said, "Just wanted to let you know your blood work came back normal." I don't know what to think. I know I am a worrier and having to wait until Monday is going to be hard but I have to trust in God. He is the Author and Perfector of our faith....a friend earlier reminded me of the words to one of my favorite praise songs:

I will bless the Lord forever
I will trust Him at all times
He has delivered me from all fear
He has set my feet upon a rock
And I will not be moved
And I'll say of the Lord:
You are my Shield; my strength
My portion; Deliverer;
My Shelter; Strong tower;
My very present Help in time of need!

I'm praying you'll have peace and the news will be good on Monday.

Just call anyway and tell them that you are really worried, and have a hard time waiting until Monday. Maybe they can tell you a little more

Not sure who posted this last comment, but I tried to call the dr. office today...no one ever called me back....tried to call the place where I had the MRI done and it was closed for the day even though they don't close until 6:00...I called at 5:00. God is truly asking me to trust Him. So...I am....

Hey chica!

As someone who works in a profession/clinic where MRI's are a daily occurence, please rest assured that it is perfectly normal for a doctor to want to see you back in clinic after an MRI. It is RARE that we call a patient and say, "Everything's normal!"...even if it is. The reason being, we want to discuss either (a) what we DID find, (b) the next step and possible treatment options, or (c) all of the above. I'm sure that's probably the case with you. If it was truly dangerous or life-threatening, they would have worked you in immediately...or at least one would hope! Now, as far as them not being willing to call you back, I DO believe that is inexcusable, especially when the wait is over the weekend. That, in my world, is cruel...and I'm in the medical profession!!

Don't know if that helps put your mind at ease, but I hope it does! =) Saying a prayer for you!!

Love you mucho!!
