Five months old!!!

Hello! So, it's been a long time since I have posted anything on here. A lot has happened since I posted last. We got to see some of my favorite people, we have been sick, and Rachel has done some incredible things!!!

Rachel is now 5 months old!!! She turned 5 months old on the 14th while we were at Bob and Christy's house. We stayed with them for a few days and I had the best time. I miss Christy and all of the crazy fun that we have. I played Wii until my arms were sore (and still are). We got some pretty cute pictures of Rachel from the visit. I am going to post quite a few on here but you can look at more on dropshots. Christy looks cute as ever and I got to go to the doctor with her and hear little Adi's heartbeat. I am so proud for her and Bob and I can't wait to see them with their little girl. Bob was wonderful with Rachel and just looked completely comfortable with her.

Rachel and I are both sick. I went to the doctor yesterday because I just have to be well enough to take care of her and I just didn't feel like I was able to. I have a severe upper respiratory infection that we are treating with antibiotics and NyQuil. She told me to be careful taking the decongestant b/c of my blood pressure, but I have to get some sleep. Taking care of a "creeper" isn't easy work! BUT I LOVE IT!!!

We also went a week or so ago and sat in the bluebonnet fields with Rachel's little friend, Chelsea and took pictures. These pictures and nearly all that I take can be found on www.dropshots.com/rikkihester

Rachel has really started trying to sit up on her own lately. I was feeding her and she just sat right up in the high chair...scared me to death. She was buckled in, but I guess it just surprised me. When we were at my mom's house this last weekend, she tried to flip out of the bouncy seat. Again, she was strapped in and didn't hit the floor, but certainly could have if she wasn't buckled. Nearly gave me a heart attack. Then on Tuesday she started rolling over BY HERSELF from her back to her belly! Now everytime she is lying down, she rolls from her back to her belly..in her bed, on the floor and even on the changing table (which isn't a good thing). I have to really watch her closely now. She gets so frustrated because I think she likes rolling over but she can't figure out how to get back. She rolls back and forth, but since she has mastered the back to belly thing it's like she has forgotten how to roll back! It's kinda funny. My baby girl is growing up so fast. 5 months, wow! Where has the time gone? I love her more and more everyday which I didn't think was possible.
