I love these DVDs!!! We also have the CDs which are just the music version that NEVER stop playing in the baby's room. A sweet friend, Cynthia, gave me our very first Praise Baby CD when I was in the hospital after having Rachel. Rachel was in the NICU and we had only lived in the city where we are now for less than a year. I was so excited that she came to see us! She was the preschool director at church at the time but I think she would have come anyway! =) It was such a treat. I would sit in the nursery after Rachel was born and rock her and cry...literally LIKE A BABY!! I mean, I would sob! I had some emotional issues after Rachel was born. She and I were both pretty sick after she was born and I think that didn't help. I cried for about 4 months after she was born. Luckily, that didn't happen the 2nd time around. Anyway, that Praise Baby CD was what I would listen to and just couldn't fathom how much He loved me...enough to give me this precious gift....

The True Bread

Two days in a row!!!  Crazy, huh?!  :) I have started reading a book that one of my closest friends recommended:   Messy Beautiful Friendship .  I am on page 38 and I think it is one of the best books I have ever read.  This lady knows me.  I want to quote something she said in her book and show you how beautifully it tied in with my Bible study for today. "When I am disappointed with my friendships and I take time to dig a little deeper in my heart, I inevitably find that I'm looking for my friends to relate to me as only God can.  I want God to give me good friends and when he has, I've been prone to shove him aside for the attention, wisdom, and companionship of those friends, despite knowing that they were intended as gifts rather than replacements.  People are not fillers for a present God, and God is not a placeholder for future friends." Alarm to Say "I Love You"

For the past two mornings, something  has made me wake up at the amazing hour of 4:00 am.  I had a small procedure last week and cannot workout right now, so it was not for getting up to workout, my alarm was not set, and frankly, I did not want to get up at 4:00 am.  Yesterday, I got up, did some laundry, did my Bible study, made lunches, picked up the living room...you know, normal "mommy things."  This morning, it was different.  I woke up to what I thought was the house alarm beeping.  Not like it was alarming, necessarily but what I thought I heard was it beeping about 4 times.  Anytime one of our doors opens, the alarms beeps.  I know that all of our doors were locked (and re-locked 5 times because I have an OCD husband), but I also know that I have a 9-year old daughter who sleep walks.  Long story short, everyone was still sleeping, no doors had been opened, and there was no one {that was not supposed to be} in our home.  I wen...
